And speaking of Stauffenberg/Haeften.

Hans Scholl (on the right). Definitely not a Nazi, rather a wonderful human being, but since Stauffenberg & Haeften got posted here, his story also deserves a mention (because he did look stunning in a German uniform ;))
Back in his Hitler Jugend days you see Hans got all youthfully romantic with his squad colleague. For a year they had a homosexual relationship which terminated rather brutally - courtesy of the Gestapo finding out.
Later on, together with his sister Sophie, he joined the non-violent oposition group The White Rose. The siblings were caught redistributing anti-Nazi leaflets. During their interrogation neither of them cracked, but Sophie explained that Hans’s long drawn-out ordeal at the hands of the Gestapo years earlier over what they termed his ‘sexual deviance’ was ‘the most important reason’ for her subsequent decision to defy Hitler’s regime.
They were both found guilty and executed by the guillotine on the same day becoming symbols for “the good Germans”.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have working comments!

And speaking of Röhm: there’s this interesting play by Yukio Mishima - My Friend Hitler (no, I’m not kidding - that’s the title), that has dear Ernst as the main character. Mishima portrayed him way more sympathetic then his deeds should merit, but the whole thing is more of an artsy tragedy in the vain of Julius Caesar and this Röhm might as well have been Mishima’s self insert anyway, so it’s all good. Besides, Mishima was a Nobel Prize candidate, so he’s allowed to ;P
It’s not overtly gay, but the parts when Röhm falls into poetics about the barbaric beauty of male bonding and glorious soldierly life? FETISH FUEL FOR AGES!
Plus, it features “Adorst” as a legitimate portmanteau couple name.
I would quote some excerpts but I have it in a language not many would understand. So have a picture of half naked Mishima instead. I’m sure he’d enjoy being called a Gay Nazi.

ghost-of-war said: Hi. :$ I followed you for a couple of days, but I couldn't find the right words to write you. Your blog is totally awesome, which means that your blog's theme is one of my biggest and top secret obsessions.*_* I love your blog. :P Oh, and I also saw Hitler: The rise of evil. I still don't know where to put it in my head. It was scary and all, but unfaithful to the history.-.- Btw, Peter Stormare was great as Roehm, but I didn't see him with a boy/boys, only when he got arrested. :DD God, no one knows my this secret it's a bit hard to talk about it. :$

Thanks and welcome! I completely understand you with the secrecy business. None of my friends know I run this thing - I couldn’t bare to tell them :/

Though, thanks to people on tumblr, I’m getting closer to coming to terms with my obsession and placing it on the interest-support scale. Or rather the fetish-interest scale ;P It brings stability to know where you stand.

prepare-for-unforeseen-reblogs said: About "Hitler: the Rise of Evil" you're completely right, it sucks.. However if I recall correctly, when they arrest Roehm in that movie, they find him in bed with a young man . It still remains the only hint at his sexuality.
(Oh, I almost forgot, keep up the good work with this tumblr because it's great!)

Yup, he was gay for a split second. And then they shot him -_-
Couldn’t find a screencap though.

I guess Peter Stormare was oozing manly eroticism throughout the movie, always hanging out with his handsome gymbuddies, all sweaty and brutish. So yeah, those parts were fun. Robert Carlyle’s Hitler - not as much.

Irony: the one film that has a Röhm played by an intriguingly attractive actor almost completely doesn’t deal with his homosexuality. Boohoo.
Crappy movie btw. Wouldn’t recommend it, unless you enjoy yelling at the screen “But it didn’t happen this way!” every 5 minutes.
